Goat Pricing

Live Goats for Sale

Live goats are sold on hoof at the prices listed below regardless of use, age or size, with the exception of 4H sales. Customers can pickup goats or we can deliver. Depending on distance traveled for delivery, we may charge extra.

Market Bucks, Wethers, Bred or Breeding Does are sold for $125.

Goats for 4H projects are sold for $100 (with proof of 4H membership).

Choice bucks or does prices are determined at the time of the sale.


Goat Meat for Sale

We sell our goat meat at the North Atherton Farmers Market from May through November and off of the farm all year. Please call ahead to guarantee availability as our goat meat taken to the market each week typically sells out. Getting a whole goat is a great way to get various cuts to try at a price that works out to be less per pound than our pricing at the market. Whole goats are also great for tailgates, large parties, backyard bbq's and come dressed and ready for your spit.Check our our recipe page for great goat meat recipes, most of which were contributed by our customers!

Whole or Half Goat (Custom) The goat is slaughtered, skinned and quartered or left whole. $125.00 + Butcher fee (~$25.00)
Whole or Half Goat (USDA) The goat is slaughtered, skinned and a variety cuts are made based on your preference. $125.00 + Butcher fee (~$70.00)
Ground Goat Ground goat is very versatile. For the new goat cook,it easily replaces beef in any recipe. Very lean, very healthy and packed in 1lb. packs $6 per pound
Shank Shank meat is some of the best meat on a goat. Shanks are great for stew or crock pot recipes. With the bone-in, it is hard to beat the flavor. Typically packaged by 2's. $9 per package
Leg (Bone-in) Legs are typically roasted or grilled as is. They are sometimes cut up for stew meat. This is a very lean piece of meat. Legs are typically 3-6 pounds. Please ask 
Leg (Boneless) Boneless legs can be rolled or butterflied or used to cut into stew meat. This is a very lean piece of meat. Legs are typically 3-6 pounds.  Please ask
Shoulder (Bone-in) Shoulders are typically roasted or grilled as is. They are sometimes cut up for stew meat. This is a very lean piece of meat. Legs are typically 3-6 pounds. Please ask 
Shoulder (Boneless) Boneless shoulders can be rolled or butterflied or used to cut into stew meat. This is a very lean piece of meat. Legs are typically 3-6 pounds.  Please ask
Loin or Rib Chops Much like lamb chops, goat chops are small and tender. They are great seared in a pan and roasted, easy on the grill or broiled. Add a little lemon, garlic and olive oil and you've got yourself a meal! Typically packed in 2's or 4's. $8 for 4 chops 
Rack of Goat One rack per package. These are trimmed and frenched and an excellent choice for a dinner party. Racks are typically 1-2 pounds.  $!5 per rack
Loin Roast The choice cut! These roasts are excellent for simple roasting or for butterflying and stuffing. This is the most tender cut and always pleases. $20 per roaast 
Neck Roast
 Neck roasts are great for stew or crock pot recipes. With the bone-in, it is hard to beat the flavor. Typically packaged by 2's.  $9 per roast
Stew Meat (Bone-in)
 This stew meat is bone-in and stews cooked with bone are just full of flavor. The meat is well trimmed and typically packed by the pound. $8 per pound 
 Stew Meat (Boneless)
 This stew meat is boneless and very versatile for many stew and crock pot recipes. The meat is well trimmed and typically packed by the pound.  $9 per pound
 Sausage  Our sausage is an easy crowd pleaser. Serve it to your guests and they will never know they've eaten goat. We try various recipes throughout the year. If you have some ideas - please let us know! Typically packed 4 links/pack. $9 per pound 
 Kidneys  Kit Hume buys most of what we have :) , but when available they are lovely made as Kit's Gorgeous Goat Kidneys (see recipe page).  $3 per package
 Liver  Liver is an excellent source of protein, Vit A, Vit B, folic acid and Iron. Cooked until light pink, it is an excellent healthy meal.  $3 per package
 Tongue Tongue is great to grind up and add to other meats - particularly ground meat. If cooking whole, it is great stewed as well. $3 per package 
Heart The heart is a muscle and cooks very similar to steak. It has a higher protein content than regular meat and is an excellent source of many nutrients. Cook it slowly and serve it medium rare. $3 per package 
 Bones  Like chicken, goat bones can be used to make a fabulous stock. Free with any purchase, ask for pricing otherwise
